Umbreon Amigurumi

I made these guys a while back, probably in May, using WolfDreamer's Umbreon Pattern.  I always like using her patterns, they are so very easy to follow and always turn out looking great.  They're RedHeart: Super Saver yarn with a G hook, and a few pieces of scrapped felt sewn or glued on.  I'm not sure why I made two... I guess I just really like Umbreon.  There were quite a few pictures so I put them in a slideshow...

The first Umbreon is named Umby (I am so Creative!) For some reason I could never get her tail to stick up, so I left it loose.  She ended up having this wide eyed expression, so I decided she had a timid nature.

This guy is named Nokahn, after one of my in-game Umbreons.  I got his ears and tail to stand up properly and he looked braver than Umby did so his nature is bold.  Also, he somehow managed to get a hold of one of my dragon's collars because he's just cool like that.

Chinchou Amigurumi

Normally I'm content to follow a pattern for my crochet exploits, but this week I decided to venture into the world of designing patterns.  Or as I like to call it "making it up as I go" land...

For some reason I chose to make Chinchou.  I... I don't even know.   I think it was the fact that I already had the colors that brought him to mind.  His design was also really simple, so it was definitely something I could handle.  I really like how he turned out as well.

He looks bald without his... tail/antennae hanging over his head.  But somehow... cute as well.  It's fun to tote Chinchou around by the antennae, and also to fling him about and hang him on things.  Yet he's always smiling... like Goldfish crackers... they smile until you bite their heads off.

So cute!  My usual MO—Red Heart: Super Saver yarn and a G hook.

Togekiss Amigurumi

Togekiss is definitely one of my favorite Pokemon, so when I found this pattern I knew that it was meant to be.  I call him Oleander, named after my in-game Togekiss.  I'd like to think this little guy is as hardcore as his namesake.

Look at him and his majesty!  I'm still overly pleased with how his little wing curlicues turned out.  They look really nice.  I was also surprised that he was able to stand.

I didn't get any good pictures of his tail, but I modified the pattern for that.  I wanted it to look more like Togekiss's design so I... uh... am not really sure what I did.  The tail feathers are stacked on top of each other, I guess.

He's all Red Heart: Super Saver yarn.  I think... I was recently gifted with a bunch of yarn so I'm not quite sure.  Worked with a G Hook.  It was a really simple pattern to follow; the most complicated part was piecing together the wing curls.  Even then, it wasn't a problem.
